Anyone have recent prices on below. This seems to be the best I have found in my area on the following:
1) L3130GST, R4's, LA513 FEL, Woods BB60 Cutter w/clutch $19081, and 2) L3430GST, R4's, LA723 FEL, Woods BB60 Cutter w/Clutch $20581.
Your thoughts on my combos and prices. Purchase date is 3 weeks from today! Can hardly wait. Thanks

I live in southwest VA, and a dealer here gave me a price of 16,500 for a 3130 with FEL and FST transmission. I have checked around right much and have found them to be very competitive. Hope this helps. ....

By the way, the price was with ag tires. They had a rental tractor come back with about 200 hours on it. The price on it with a loader and FST trans was 13,900. I called about it today, but it sold this past Sat. It had ag tires too. ....

Robclyde, I paid 17,800 for a 2004 3130 HST, R4's, w/LA513 loader in June. I wonder if 2004 model prices would drop with 2005's around the corner. Try and get input from Art White on that. ....

Thanks for all of the responses, to date. I'm new to the board but it appears that Art is Kubota dealer and very knowledgeable about tractors, in general. My question to Art, or others, has to do with model year. One dealer told me that the model year of a L3130 depends upon date sold. As he explained further, it made sense, but I not familiar with any other product having a model year designated at date sold. He said this holds true with Kubota as long as the model is in production. I appreciate the feedback. Robert ....

There is a build date to everything. There is also a sale date that starts the warrantee and the tractor life from there on. Ten years and two owners later a salesmen from the same dealer that sold it to you might only give a trade-in value of the serial number or build date. I haven't seen a manufacturer that discounted for the end of year model but most will give a one time discount on discontinued model. Most sucessful models will carry nearly identical resale prices from year to year as they age. You could have a newer tractor that has a few issues and have a lower or more identical resale price then an older previous model. The condition you keep the tractor in makes a vary big difference in resale value. Remember that your used tractor some day will be "new" to sombody else someday. A clean well kept unit will be worth at least a year or two in resale value. A little tip while doing modifications, make sure that you don't hurt the factory controls or the tractors chassis itegerity and safety features as a dealer will need to replace them to sell the tractor. Thats about it in a nutshell. ....
